Lead-acid emergency batteries and PCB-free ballasts are both commonly managed as universal waste, and both need a labelled, closeable container. Ballast containers are sized by ballast count and weight; battery containers by battery size and quantity. Since the generator keeps the accumulation records, labelling and closure matter more than the container material.
