Recycling Containers

Recycling containers for lamps and batteries are a compliance product rather than a lighting product — they exist because spent lamps and batteries are regulated waste in most US states.

Buying guide: Recycling Containers

Spent fluorescent lamps contain mercury and are usually classified as universal waste, which means they can be accumulated in a designated container for a defined period before shipment to a recycler. The container has to be structurally sound, closeable, and labelled with the required universal waste marking. Battery and ballast containers work the same way for their waste streams.

We stock lamp recycling containers in the common sizes, battery and ballast recycling containers, and the labels and liners that go with them.
