Match the circuit first — a three-way switch will not work in a single-pole installation and vice versa. Then match the load: a fan requires a fan-rated switch, and a motor load needs a switch rated for it. Amperage and voltage ratings should cover the circuit, and where the switch sits on a dimmed or controlled circuit the device has to work with that control.
We stock toggle, decorator and illuminated switches in single pole, three-way and four-way configurations, plus fan controls.
